This young man was asked to bring stuff up from the corral where we were camping in Pecos, so he the threw the hay bags over Khami's neck, jumped aboard and rode up to the trailer in his pajamas.

This horse is a seasoned old endurance campaigner with almost 1700 miles under his belt, but he's not exactly accustomed to being packed with things like hay bags around his neck. However, he has utmost confidence that what his rider has planned is going to be fun, so he's up for it.

On other occasions, this horse has been known to act silly, terrify some adults, and be a general handful. He is, after all, an Arabian. What makes this relationship possible?
