Ortho-Bionomy for Equines

Horses do not come with any preconceived ideas of what they should receive from a bodywork session, and unlike humans, they don’t respond to placebos.

Because the horse is designed for different tasks than humans, the Ortho-Bionomy principles have been adapted to suit a herd animal, who primarily stands to sleep, lowers its head to the ground to eat, and whose structure is designed for speed, agility and performance.

The work supports the treatment of

  • Structural imbalance
  •  Lameness
  •  Trauma
  • Chronic and acute injuries
  • Behavioral issues
  •  Joint pain and stiffness
  • Illness
